Global Finance is a team of high performers and trusted partners who leverage data to deliver strategic insights and empower decision making, solve problems, and mitigate risks. You will play a meaningful role in the global forecasting and planning process. These teammates produce timely, accurate reporting and customized financial analysis to support management decisions. Your work will directly impact the success of teams within Groupon, ensuring that they are delivering the financial performance to build our mission.

Within our FP&A group, we act as internal consultants with VP-level business leaders across the organization to understand the ins and outs of a specific business unit. Through focusing on two main areas—controllership and business support—we ensure the success of the business while maximizing profit for each group they work with. In this role, you will have the opportunity to be integrated within multiple departments, providing valuable financial insight and recommendations to your teams. This is a hands-on opportunity to develop a deep understanding of our business, providing you with a unique insight into how our company operates.

We're a "best of both worlds" kind of company. We're big enough to have resources and scale, but small enough that a single person has a surprising amount of autonomy and can make a meaningful impact. We're curious, fun, a little intense, and kind of obsessed with helping local businesses thrive. Does that sound like a compelling place to work?

You’ll spend time on the following:

  • Perform a key leadership role during the global FP&A cycles, including monthly/quarterly budgeting & forecasting, annual plan setting, variance to forecast analysis, etc.

  • Partner with Finance leadership team in the preparation of Board materials, monthly reporting for our senior leadership team, and other presentations

  • Perform three statement financial modeling based on inputs generated from annual plan setting and forecast revisions

  • Update and maintain long-range planning model to generate prospective financial outlook based on the company’s strategy and initiatives

  • Manage outlook update cadences throughout the quarter to provide leadership team with intra-quarter pacing on performance

  • Ownership of the FP&A calendar, which is used to communicate key dates around planning expectations, forecast updates, financial and forecast reviews, etc.

  • Initiate, own and manage financial models that are used to set and measure key performance indicators

  • Perform ad hoc global financial analysis to support key business decisions
