As a Project Manager on our Sales Transformation team, you’ll serve as a motivated and inspiring leader while focusing primarily on tools and processes. Your ultimate goal is to support projects, tooling and operational processes that improve efficiency and automation for sales reps’ day to day job functions. You’ll apply sound business judgment, use your premier strategy & operations chops, use data driven insights to deliver strategic plans, and use your skills to directly and indirectly influence partners in order to make things happen.

Project Managers provide the structure and support the overall vision for assigned projects and work streams. They are responsible for overseeing and directing multiple projects at a time or a singular, large scale or highly complex project, and ensuring that these projects are delivered in a timely manner while meeting or exceeding expectations. Within this role the Project Manager will interface heavily with their Sales Operations counterparts across Communications, Analytics, Lead Management and Training. They have direct connection and will collaborate with Sales leadership at all levels along with other non Sales disciplines across Groupon including: marketing, product, finance, legal, engineering, and customer service.

Core responsibilities:

  • Support sales verticals and business partners with insights, tools, and project management support that lead to actionable and efficient strategic results

  • Interpret insights and visualize implementation within existing and/or new toolsets while understanding boundaries of technical solution and priorities

  • Collaborate with the team to drive the approach, deliverables, schedule and tools to deliver the project within established constraints

  • Coordinate all activities of the project team and ensure that project tasks are completed by: scheduling and facilitating project-related team meetings (i.e. kick-offs, key milestone check ins, planning conversations, etc) 

  • Communicate action steps to team; deliver weekly status reports to core team and management as necessary

  • Manage vendor/third party relationships as needed

  • Manage and monitor project risks and scope creep to foresee and identify potential problems than proactively identify solutions to address them in advance

  • Identify and drive solutions agreed upon by the appropriate project team members

  • Follow internal processes and adjust team resourcing in a timely manner based on project shifts

  • Act as point-of-contact for day-to-day project related questions, issues; know when to escalate with partners as needed

  • Contribute on the content and presentation of key deliverables as required to ensure relevancy, strategy, quality and timeliness

We’re excited about you if you have:

  • Bachelor’s degree required, preferred degree in business

  • 3+ years of project management experience required (heavy emphasis on digital project management is preferred; Lean Six Sigma experience or PMP certification is strong nice to have)

  • Sales operations experience highly preferred

  • Expert on Excel, MS Project, MS Office

  • Knowledge and have worked with Project management tools (Smartsheet, Asana, etc.) as well as software tracking management (Confluence, Jira)

  • Knowledge of Salesforce and analytics tools (e.g. Tableau) 

  • You are comfortable working in a cross-functional role

  • You have strong analytical and strategic thinking skills

  • You are a self-starter, fast learner, and adaptive to working in a fast-paced environment with the ability to quickly pivot

  • You have strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability and confidence to succinctly convey complex information to senior management

  • Ability to solve complex problems with keen instincts and organizational experience; capacity for creative problem solving and strategic thinking

  • Understanding of agile methodologies

  • Excellent organizational and time management skills

  • Ability to work on multiple projects and manage multiple project coordinators, leads and/or managers at one time

  • Demonstrated ability to motivate staff/project team, inspire teamwork and take a leadership role

  • If performed in New York City, Seattle, or the Bay Area in California, the salary range for this role is between $66,850.00 and $105,050.00. If performed in New York (outside of New York City), Washington State (outside of Seattle), California (outside of the Bay Area), or Colorado, the salary range for this role is between $61,600.00 and $96,800.00. The salary range for this role may be different if performed from another location.
