The Product Analytics team directly supports the product teams in Groupon with the evaluation of new features such as AI-enabled tools and consumer UI improvements, as well as monitoring of ongoing performance.
Responsibilities:
Perform in-depth data analysis to measure trends, identify baselines for measurement, identify growth opportunities, and provide recommendations for product improvements.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product managers and engineers to define metrics, KPIs, and success criteria for product initiatives.
Design and execute A/B tests to evaluate the impact of product changes, providing statistical insights and actionable recommendations.
Utilize your expertise in SQL, data wrangling, and data transformation to gather, clean, and prepare data for analysis.
Develop easy-to-use dashboards and reports using Tableau to communicate insights effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Leverage your proficiency in statistical methodologies to derive meaningful insights from complex data sets and develop predictive models if required.
Utilize Google Analytics to track user behavior, funnel analysis, and provide insights to optimize the user experience.
Collaborate with developers, designers, and product managers to ensure data tracking requirements are met for new features and product enhancements.
Stay up-to-date with industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in data analysis and visualization.
Minimum Required Skills:
Batchelor's degree.
Strong proficiency in data analysis techniques and methodologies, with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience and a proven track record of extracting actionable insights from complex data sets.
Solid understanding of statistical concepts and techniques, with the ability to apply them to real-world business scenarios.
Proficiency in SQL for data querying, manipulation, and transformation.
Hands-on experience with Tableau or similar data visualization tools to create interactive dashboards and reports.
Advantageous to have experience working with Google Analytics or similar web analytics platforms.
Excellent communication skills to effectively agree analysis requirements and present findings to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Detail-oriented with a strong analytical mindset, problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Preferable for experience to come from an e-commerce background.
Preferred experience with Python for data manipulation, analysis, and scripting.
