We couldn’t share a story about an HR Delivery Partner – MMA fighter – chess player fast enough. Announcer’s Voice: INTRODUCING, VICTOOOR PIZARROOOO.
What do you love about your job as an HR Delivery Partner?
I love that every day is different, so it is impossible to get bored. The challenges in Human Resources are very different from each other, which makes me have to rake my brain to try to find the solution that best suits everyone, and this is something I learn a lot from and keeps me equally committed as I was on day one with Groupon!
Talk about something challenging you worked on here. What was it? How did it turn out?
2 words: Valencia Office. I just came back from a holiday in Mexico, and guess what? An amazing, brand new office opened in sunny Valencia, Spain. 15+ hires working side by side with Facilities, IT, EMEA HR, Payroll and managers to make the idea a reality in 1 weeks time. There were many takeaways from this project. I learned the ancestral art of the prioritization, and annealed my adaptation skills. I understood a part of the business that I barely touched before, and I made amazing relationships, even friends because I had the pleasure of visiting the office on the starting day. How did it end up? With a fantastic, fast-growing team of 35+ people happily working and making customers happy. Who doesn’t love the happy endings?
Who or what inspires you?
I believe that every single person is good at doing something, you just need to look at the person with the correct eyes, and learn from it. You can get inspiration from everyone. I feel a deep respect for resilient and fair people, and for those able to think outside the box. My team has been a huge inspiration in working terms since I arrived here. In my private life, my closest friends are my inspiration.
What was your first impression of Groupon as an employer?
Green and amazing people! A good craic.
How does your work impact Groupon’s mission of building the daily habit in local commerce?
If Groupon wants their customers to come back every day, we need happy marketing, engineering, sales, HR, finance, operations, legal teams in order to do their best in attracting the customer to us on a daily basis. All these people are my customers and I try my best to make them happy.
Describe the proudest moment you’ve had at Groupon. Go ahead, brag a little. (Or a lot.)
Actually, this is related to the most difficult one (Valencia Project). When I arrived in Valencia and saw all the new hires waiting for their onboarding and watched all the teams working, all the hard work we did became real. That was incredibly satisfactory.
Where were you before you joined Groupon? What brought you here?
I was working as an HR Administrator at Amazon, in Prague, Czech Republic. I just needed a smaller company, where great ideas would be accepted and implemented easily, with less population and a bit less administrative work (thinking doesn’t hurt, right?). So when Groupon offered me the perfect opportunity, I was ready to jump right in. Also, coming into Dublin was one of my goals so, two birds with one stone
What’s the most interesting thing about you?
I fight MMA just as well as I can play chess.
If you could do another job for just one day, what would it be and why?
Well, I would be my own manager so I could raise my salary and get it approved and then come back to my job… hahaha just kidding! I would love to be a story developer for video-games! I love to play and have a couple of good ideas I would like to play myself!
What’s your favorite local business?
Sano Pizza, amazing price, Italian Taste and Groupon discount. What else can you want?

I actually love the hybrid model since I enjoy both the conveniences of working from home and the social life in the office.
Cryptocurrencies and investments! You would be extremely surprised about how much valuable information there is on Youtube...
While podcasts are super convenient for running, I do much prefer a good book. And I have 2 favorites: Protagoras by Plato and The Name of the Wind by Patrick Rothfuss.

Playing board games with my friends for 10 hours in a row 😝.
I can perfectly emulate the sound of a water drop (what?).
Definitely, Mac Miller. Reference to the last Madrid party picture, haha.
Create my own board game and write an epic fantasy book (both in progress!!!).
