As an integral part of the Human Resources department, the Sales Compensation Analyst will be responsible for leading the development, implementation, and management of all of U.S. sales incentive programs to ensure alignment of incentives to Groupon’s strategic goals. You will apply your knowledge of market trends and functional best-practices to your recommendations, and will closely partner cross functionally with Sales Operations, Finance, Legal, HR, and Sales Leadership.

You’ll spend time on the following:

  • Leading the design, implementation, and management of all U.S. sales incentive programs

  • Applying your knowledge of market trends and functional best-practice to recommendations

  • Creating robust, dynamic models to demonstrate efficacy of program design

  • Advising on program adjustments, plan exceptions, and policy interpretations

  • Ensuring competitiveness of programs through annual external benchmarking 

  • Partnering with Sales Operations, Finance, Legal, HR, and Sales Leadership 

  • Partnering with the Communications team to roll out and reinforce program changes 

  • Creating and maintaining documentation of all incentives plans and approvals 

  • Performing other duties as assigned

Requirements:

  • 3+ years incentive compensation experience required, with specific sales compensation experience preferred

  • Experience designing and implementing successful incentive programs

  • Ability to remain flexible and adaptable in a fast-paced environment 

  • Ability to work independently and influence stakeholders at multiple levels in the organization without formal authority

  • Ability to think strategically and operationalize plans effectively 

  • Excellent attention to detail, time management, interpersonal, communication, presentation, organization, decision-making and planning skills

  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills and a track record for executing and auditing work

  • Knowledge of HR principles and practices

  • Able to handle superior level of confidentiality concerning employee information

  • High level of proficiency with MS Office applications (Excel, Word, Power Point) and G-Suite (Google docs, Google sheets, Google slides). SQL experience a plus

  • Ability to work independently and within team with strong problem solving skills

  • Salesforce and Anaplan experience a plus
