We are looking for a software engineer to join the Live Inventory and Custom Integrations team to support and evolve the design, implementation, and operational support of systems that span the business side and engineering departments.

You’ll spend time on the following:

You will develop compliance applications for the Groupon microservice ecosystem
-
You will get to work on high-scalability systems with e-commerce functions that involve inventory management and fulfillment.

You will collaborate with teams in other organizations to ensure that required business features and compliance rules are implemented effectively
-
Build service artifacts, plan deployment, coordinate timeline and tasks with project management and teams
-
Improve service stability by identifying critical service-specific metrics, setting meaningful alerting thresholds, and automating alerting responses
-
Create and maintain documentation for your projects
-
Mentor junior staff
-
Drive the discussion and decisions on technical topics related to the team
We’re excited about you if you have:
-
BE/BTech or ME/MTech degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
-
7+ years of industry experience
-
Excellent coding skills in one or more programming languages like Ruby, Java, C, C++, Python, etc
-
Strong computer science fundamentals (Design Patterns, DS & Algos, Operating Systems)
-
Solid knowledge of relational databases like MySQL, Postgres, etc
-
Understanding of NoSql databases is an added advantage
-
You should have experience developing and supporting web applications and supporting and troubleshooting internal and external requests/bug reports in a transactional environment

Experience with building tools such as Maven, Ant, Ivy, Griddle

Strong debugging skills

Good communication and collaboration skills
