Senior Product Manager of Distribution

Groupon is constantly expanding into new local experience categories. As part of the Discovery team, you will define and execute the vision and strategy for a frictionless and personalized search and browse experience, empowering users to find what they want, with the least effort and shortest amount of time.

In this role, your job is to develop and execute a multi-year product roadmap for integrating Groupon product offerings to operators worldwide.  In success, you would have stood up a team and a roadmap that ensures we reach customers via distribution partners, with a quality experience spanning marketing, sign-up, payment, sign-in, content discovery and viewing. Altogether, this would result in material positive business impact, as measured in incremental subscribers and revenue.

You’ll spend time on the following:

  • Collaborate with cross-functional leaders to define a clear and measurable product strategy 
  • Understand customer needs and use them to inform clear product priorities while helping to educate the wider organization on opportunities and challenges
  • Take accountability for delivering against a roadmap, leveraging product management and agile development best practices
  • Define Distribution vision: Leverage industry expertise to clearly define the future state of our integrations, including a plan to scale, standardize, and maintain our existing integrations with destination accounts
  • Refine Distribution workflows: Define, standardize and optimize various workflows and tooling to drive destination integration reliability and adoption
  • Deliver Engineering solutions: Work closely with Engineering to define and deliver distribution partner needs, tools, and technical requirements.
  • Establish business-outcome-based OKR prioritization and roadmap in collaboration with BD, Ops, Product Marketing, Legal, Engineering, etc....
  • Create alignment on priority and approach: Drive alignment on how Distribution tools & standards are defined and deployed
  • Create and take ownership of API documentation/developer’s site


We’re excited about you if you have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or technical field, or equivalent experience
  • 5+ years of experience in product management
  • Track record of launching and scaling integration platforms with background in ticketing or travel industries
  • Technical depth - understanding APIs, full stack, systems architecture
  • Track record of success in the full lifecycle of product management; Including both product strategy and execution, from defining customer needs to defining clear user stories, priorities, engineering delivery and go-to-market
  • Ability to achieve stretch goals in an innovative and fast-paced environment, demonstrating an entrepreneurial drive
  • Ability to influence without authority, working with technical and cross-functional teams who do not report into this role to get things done
  • Experience working collaboratively with multi-functional, distributed teams in multiple time zones
  • Ability to listen, articulate positions, and advocate designs
  • Ability to turn ambiguous problem spaces into clear solutions
  • Basic ability to write queries where needed or desire to learn, you will not create software, but you will work with software engineers, and you may perform required analyses to unblock problems or assess impact with data
