Product Managers collaboratively define our vision within their domain and are the glue holding our business and technology strategy goals together. While they might look different in each part of the organization, they all actively collaborate and build groundbreaking local commerce products used by millions of people. You’ll have a healthy mix of both business-driving and technical leadership responsibilities, allowing you the autonomy to be both analytical and creative.

In this role, you will be a senior member of the marketing and merchandising product team, working closely with marketers, merchandisers, business leadership, engineers, and operational colleagues to define and execute a product strategy for the tools that sustain our marketing channels, focused on growing our base of consumers (and ensuring existing consumers continue to convert).

As a senior member of the marketing and merchandising product team, your responsibilities will include:

  • Product Strategy: Identify opportunities to improve the experience of Groupon consumers and marketers/merchandisers who engage with Groupon through multiple marketing channels

  • Feature Discovery & Prioritization: Distill the strategy into feature candidates and partner with Marketers, Merchandisers, Product Designer, Engineers, Analysts, and others to prioritize and validate those ideas

  • Execution: Work with the engineering and operational teams to release features, measure impact, learn, iterate, with an eye towards growth of Groupon’s consumer base

  • Ownership: Own more or multiple marketing channels or cross-functional “slices” of marketing channels; our key marketing channels include: Paid (SEM/Display/Affiliates), SEO, Push (email, app notifications), and merchandising.

We’ll be excited if you have:

  • 5-7+ years of relevant experience with proven track record

  • A self-starter mindset to execute in a fast-paced environment with minimal direction

  • Ability to collaborate with various stakeholders, across many time zones, to accomplish the goals

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills

  • BS/MS/MBA/PhD, or equivalent professional experience, in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Business, Information Systems or similar fields

  • A self-starter mindset to execute in a fast-paced environment with minimal direction

  • You have an excellent understanding of Agile product development practices and how web and mobile technologies work

  • Strong analytical, detail oriented, problem-solving, communication and project management skills

  • Extremely high judgment and structured thinking to ensure solutions optimize for the highest opportunity areas
