Groupon's Consumer Platform engineering team empowers customers & merchants with software which gets the right customer in the door, at the right time, at the right price. We create products and services to build great supply and seamless booking experiences for our customers to customize and book inventories without ever leaving Groupon. And, we remove friction through robust self-service platforms. As a manager, you will lead projects and foster engineering excellence as we challenge the status quo and take on large-scale problems. You will be responsible for continually fostering a culture of inclusion, diversity and respect among the teams. As a leader, you will partner with product owners, designers and data analysts to develop convincing product roadmaps and provide technical guidance to conversations.

We're a "best of both worlds" kind of company. We're big enough to have resources and scale, but small enough that a single person has a surprising amount of autonomy and can make a meaningful impact. We're curious, fun, a little intense, and kind of obsessed with helping local businesses thrive. Does that sound like a great way to grow your career? Let's get into the details:

  • Partner with product owners, designers, and business stakeholders to build teams’s roadmaps and establish goals for the teams based on strategic insights.

  • Help the teams improve efficiency, quality and speed of their development processes.

  • Collaborate with other engineering leaders and teams to drive leverage and technical craftsmanship in the larger engineering organization.

  • Rally entire cross-functional teams around major goals and initiatives.

  • Foster a culture of inclusion, diversity, respect and fun that continues making Groupon a great place to work.

  • Obsessed with quality: Your teams’s features just work and scale linearly.

  • Team players: You believe that more can be achieved together. You listen to feedback and also provide supportive feedback to help others grow/improve.

  • Fast learners: We are willing to disrupt our existing business to trial new products and solutions.

  • You love learning how to use new technologies and then rapidly apply them to new problems.

  • Growth Mindset: You are invested in growing your teams and people.

  • Pragmatic: We do things quickly to learn what our customers desire. You know when it’s appropriate to take shortcuts that don’t sacrifice quality or maintainability.
