The Pricing & Promotions Analyst will play an important role in continuing to build Groupon into a daily habit with our customers. We put the customer at the center of everything we do, and we’re seeking a hungry, data-driven analytics professional to help keep us focused on that mission. In this role you will work closely with cross-functional partners to understand pricing performance, identify opportunities for improvement, and develop plans of action to maximize performance of growth programs.  You will be required to develop an in-depth understanding of our data structures, tools, and business processes for managing daily pricing and promotional activities, and generate objective, data-driven, and actionable short and long-term recommendations.

You'll spend time on the following:

  • Collect, analyze, and evaluate data to understand pricing & business trends and measure effectiveness of promotional campaigns, programs, and price tests

  • Develop insights to identify areas of opportunity, and take action through partnership with Marketing, Product & Engineering and various other teams

  • Build out competitive intelligence to track/respond to changes in industry/market/competition

  • Communicate performance and analyses to key stakeholders across the organization

  • Drive operational changes required from introduction of new pricing products and continued enhancements

  • Analyze current business processes to identify areas of opportunity for improvement and streamlining, work closely with business and engineering partners to affect these changes

We’re Excited About You If You Have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in STEM, Business, Economics or equivalent work experience

  • Demonstrated strong quantitative and analytical skills

  • 3+ years of relevant experience in e-commerce, retail, operations, and/or business consulting roles that has included quantitative analysis

  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and SQL 

  • Experience with Tableau or other data visualization tools

  • Familiarity with scripting languages such as R/Python is a plus

  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability and confidence to succinctly convey complex information to senior management 

  • Self-starter, fast learner, adaptive to fast-paced working environment
