Operations Specialist / Coordinator - Getaways

The Getaways team at Groupon focuses on one of the most dynamic industries there is - travel. But we're not your typical travel platform. We work to create packages that delight hoteliers, tour operators and Groupon subscribers alike. We build relationships big and small, working with large hotel chains, boutique Bed & Breakfasts, and international tour operators crafting every deal by listening to the needs of the business. Our obsession is putting together offerings that will delight our customers and help them make life less boring.

As an Operations Specialist / Coordinator, you will own the setup and maintenance of all deals and focus on assembling customer facing content. You’ll partner with our Sales and Account Management teams to research content and resolve merchant quality concerns and will work closely with the rest of our Operations team on setting up and maintaining all deals from a business-facing perspective, including troubleshooting and resolving issues.

You’ll spend time on the following:

  • Process internal customer ticket requests related to rate and deal setup updates while meeting service level agreements

  • Troubleshoot issues and provide guidance to internal customers regarding processes. Provide timely status updates and resolution details to stakeholders.

  • Liaise between the deal pipeline team and internal customers to ensure support is frictionless and meets business needs

  • Checking for merchant quality concerns and work with Sales on a resolution

  • Drafting and formatting Content Specialist elements of deal write-up in compliance with Groupon writing standards for consistency

  • Reviewing data points of a deal to ensure accuracy and transparency across deal details, pricing, and values via partner website

  • Following up with Sales on data points to clarify and prevent delays and questions from customers and Editorial

  • Analyze and provide feedback on opportunities to improve deal pipeline efficiency

  • Take on projects independently while meeting established timelines

We’re excited about you if you have:

  • Bachelor's degree

  • Fluent English (B2 as a minimum) written and oral

  • 2-3 years relevant experience

  • You're detail oriented and are able to think creatively 

  • You have strong organizational and multitasking skills 

  • You're able to work independently and thrive in a multi-tasked, rapidly changing environment

  • You're a self-starter

  • You have solid decision-making skills, customer-focused instincts, and sound judgment

  • You have experience establishing rapport with people in and out of an organization

  • You take an entrepreneurial approach to task management and take control and manage tasks independently

  • You have strong consultation and negotiation skills

  • You have excellent skills in Google Suite (Docs, Calendar, Sheets, Mail, Slides)

  • Experience with Salesforce and reporting is a plus
