Let’s get into the details:

We are looking for experienced HR Professional with the experience working with WoCo and local market, being an assertive individual.

We're a "best of both worlds" kind of company. We're big enough to have resources and scale, but small enough that a single person has a surprising amount of autonomy and can make a meaningful impact. We're curious, fun, a little intense, and kind of obsessed with helping local businesses thrive. Does that sound like a compelling place to work?

You’ll spend time on the following :

  • Being a trusted advisor to management on performance management matters, employee relations issues, discipline matters, and the overall employee lifecycle (hiring, promotions, transfer & terminations).

  • Leading and managing internal Union/Worker’s Council and/or external Union relationships, where applicable.

  • Managing Employee Relations issues including grievances and investigations in the country, and other countries as needed.

  • Providing policy guidance and interpretation on variety of topics, including business unit restructures and workforce and organizational planning.

  • In partnership with Country Leaders, support communication and action planning efforts around Groupon’s employee engagement to support highly effective and relevant processes and practices for talent retention and development for the Country teams.

  • Working closely with the HR Service Model, including close partnership with HR Operations teams, HR Business Partners, HR Delivery Partners HR Centers of Excellence teams, and Payroll teams to ensure the timely and effective delivery of employee processes.

  • Providing local guidance and support where needed with the Talent Acquisition activities and hiring process.

  • Identifying training needs for business teams and individual coaching needs and facilitating training programs locally, as necessary -- including required trainings based on country regulations (e.g. Health & Safety).

  • Staying up-to-date on legal requirements related to day-to-day management of employees, reducing legal risks, and ensuring regulatory compliance cooperating with our internal employment law team and external local matter experts (i.e. legal counsels or labor consultants).

  • Some project work will be required. You should be able to own and deliver on projects, looking for continuous improvement opportunities via streamlining and automation.

We’re excited about you if you have:

  • At least 5 years HR experience in fast paced dynamic organizations, with experience working with Worker’s Council’s and/or unions.

  • Multilingual abilities in local language and English, with any other languages a plus.

We’re also excited these attributes and competencies sound like you:

  • You have a passion for the experience you provide your customers - and can diffuse even high-tension situations with ease.

  • You're a self-starter, have a bias for action and are not afraid to fail.

  • You know that the details matter and a demonstrable ability to handle multiple items at a time.

  • You're adaptable and can think on your feet; when faced with new challenges or tough conversations, you face them head-on.
