As a Merchandising Coordinator you will play a role in executing the growth and expansion of Groupon’s merchandising programs. This role will be responsible for helping deliver products and services that drive value for the customer. You will execute merchandising campaigns across all platforms - especially in app, desktop, and mobile. Working closely with our Merchandising Specialists and Sr. Specialists, you will be a crucial part of ensuring we are communicating effectively with our customers and providing them with a seamless shopping experience.

This role is part of a fun, diverse and dynamic Global Marketing Team and is critical to driving our marketing growth goals for the future. You’ll spend your day working with marketing teams across digital channels, as well as coordinating among business teams to ensure a seamless end to end experience across site and mobile experiences.

Job Description Summary

The Online Merchandising Strategy and Operations Coordinator will provide operational support to the Sr. Specialist and Specialist position and general Central Merchandising. This role will focus on assisting with the execution of the daily tasks associated with delivering the plan of the merchandising landing pages, campaigns and overall site experience. This position requires a drive to get things done, strong communication and problem solving skills, confidence, strong desire to learn and an ability to self-start. They will be a part of a  team that will work on big-picture strategies to increase overall financials but will also be responsible for reacting quickly to changing company initiatives and any downward trends.
 

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Create quick-turn or one-off landing pages to encourage customer engagement and support strategic account partnerships

    • Special promotions

    • Line of Business specific

    • Anchor/Merchant pages

  • Maintain short-run landing pages to encourage customer engagement 

  • Execute quality assurance checks on all landing pages and review bi-weekly to ensure completeness

  • Provide support for reporting functions:

    • Internal Search

    • Select Page

    • Inbox/Gtray

    • Site Placement

    • Select Email

  • Creates special email landing pages and partners with email team to ensure optimization of email content and links

  • Provide copy for assets for LivingSocial 

  • Executes proactive and reactive tasks based on evolving customer shopping needs and compliance (e.g. placing trending or paid deals on landing pages)

  • Conduct competitive research and communicate findings

  • Assist with Site functionality enhancement projects and setting up placements

  • Contribute to large-scale campaign projects throughout the year, aligning with all partnering teams to a common goal

  • Execute special projects as assigned

  • Assists in streamlining overall operational processes and tracking best practices

  • Off hours work will be required for site checks, critical business needs and peak season activities

Qualifications: 

  • 4-year degree

  • Strong numerical and analytical skills

  • Strong functional knowledge of Microsoft Office or Google Forms

  • Experience in Site Merchandising, Digital Marketing (Email preferred), or eCommerce a plus

  • Basic knowledge of Tableau a plus

  • If performed in New York City, Seattle, or the Bay Area in California, the salary range for this role is between $43,330.00 and $68,090.00. If performed in New York (outside of New York City), Washington State (outside of Seattle), California (outside of the Bay Area), or Colorado, the salary range for this role is between $40,110.00 and $63,030.00. The salary range for this role may be different if performed from another location.
